Interior design creates the form and finish of the space: the floors, walls and ceilings. They deliver an essential base for the interior decoration and the seamless blend with the architecture.

Built-in cabinetry, light fixtures, hardware and kitchen and bathroom fittings are integral elements. Certain design aspects can be as dynamic as a pivoting wall doubling as a door, or as subtle as a wash of light where the source remains hidden.

Above all, I aim to integrate rather than apply these elements to the interior design.

Then the all important layering of interior decoration, expressed through furniture, lamps, rugs, artworks and accessories develops an overlay completing the unique personality of the design.

Some furniture or lighting items may be custom designed, originals handpicked from galleries, others sourced from the market or perhaps an existing collection or treasured special piece.

By refining my ability to draw while in Paris, I can create informative and accurate perspective sketches to explore design concepts.

An altogether engaging process where classic design meets original thinking and delight is in the detail.
